According to him on MOTD just now it's not acceptable for Newcastle fans to be going to games with no hope and no entertainment but we should be grateful for just that and not having BFS in charge next season pretty much nails us on for relegation.

His target was top ten and better football, he failed on both unless you count Sept - Dec.

The problem with the pundits and the media is that they all see the big picture but never the detail. Unless of course they are talking about the top four / five.

Any comments or knowledge about clubs outside the top four / five are generally quite ignorant and lazy.

The bis picture with West Ham is that Sam was brought in to get us promoted and then re-stabilise us in the PL. He has done it. So the lazy pundits and journo's say he has done a good job.

What they don't see is the detail. Like the ignorant comments made weekly by Sam, the constant excuses, the strange substitutions, the unusual team selections, playing with one up front at opponents there for the taking.

The negative style, the respect the point campaign, changing the winning formula halfway through this season, accommodating Nolan, long balls up to Carroll, pushing Downing back out wide.

Cupping his ear, throwing games, the Nottingham Forest debacle, failure to understand the supporters, failure to understand the clubs philosophy........

And finally......

2 wins since January 1st.

That's the detail you cunts. Now fuck off.

An analysis of our lack of consistency and just how poor results have been outside a couple of hot patches?

Re: Geordie twatt Shearer
I'm sorry but what sort of analysis is the following:

'In Feb 2014 we got 12 points from 4 games. In the rest of the season, the small matter of 34 games, we achieved 28 points at a rate that would have seen us relegated in 19th place if those 4 games had yielded the same ratio of points.'

You can take off 4 wins off any team and make them look much worse than they would have otherwise.

I'm sure I saw a Banner at Newcastle stating that they don't expect the Team to win every game, however they demand a club that trys.

Which I think sums us up nicely. Both me and my Chelsea surporting mate was looking forward to the "game of the season" at Christmas (Chelsea~West Ham) but what did we get ? rested players and parking the bus. This is not what I pay £60 a match to see. I feel that this tactic not only lost us the game but also took away all our momentum.

How many games did we win after that ?

I would say that had we not signed Sakho, we could easily have gone down. Nolan, 1 goal in 21 matches, Cole 3 goals in 25.

Carroll being injured for the third season on the trot hasn't really helped Allardyce, but he had the opportunity to get someone better than Cole and didn't.

Re: Geordie twatt Shearer
I'm sure many of us said the same thing when they dumped Allardyce and then got relegated. Shearer should be above that kind of partisan stuff though.

It wasn't even about the entertainment for me. I think if what you're doing is working and you are picking up results then a decent amount of entertainment comes with it.

But we have been dire since Christmas after blowing one of our best ever starts.

We were dire through last season too - saved by one decent month basically.

Sydney - You must be the only one on here who talks about Redknapp as a possible suitor. Just saying.

Allardyce may have gone but his stench will linger for a few more years to come. Get use to more comments like we have heard from the morons Merson and Souness.

I didn't like Carragher at all in his last few years as a player (compensating for his declining ability by becoming a dirty bastard, and, worse, getting away with it).

I like him a bit better now.

My opinion of Redknapp has gone up massively after that video. Always forget he's one of us, well sort of.
